Every Friday the Rallyverse team re-shares something they discovered on the Internet this week. These are their stories. You can check out last week’s inaugural edition here.

Seamus says: I can spend hours looking at 1960s era advertising, so suffice to say I got a little giddy when I saw this poster for season 6 of Mad Men. Even cooler is the story behind who created it.

Jason says: “Google Reader literally changed my life. In 2005, the hedge fund I was working at had just shut down. While trying to decide what to do next, I rediscovered the web. There were so many people doing and writing interesting things. Google Reader and coffee was my morning ritual and started me down the path which lead to Rallyverse.”

Kathryn says: “This week your choices were SXSW, Google Reader RIP or The Pope. While my SXSW post had a much wider reach I think we’ve all moved on to discussing the Pope. If you are interested, Pope Francis I is a social media wizard and already tweeting. Follow him @Pontifex, but I would recommend brushing up on your Latin.”
Chintan says: “Amidst all the hype of google glass this tweet talks about the practical issues with the google glass, something which google might want to solve before public launch.”

— Gabe Bevilacqua (@gabe_bevilacqua) March 12, 2013
Gabe says: “I mean, sure, there was a link to a really thoughtful article by our friend Jed, but for a week where I spent a lot more time in PowerPoint than usual, how was a flash of SmartArt in my Rallydeck (in signature Calibri font no less!) not going to earn a special place in my heart? ”

Bonus Cool: Just as I was about to hit publish, Jason said “there isn’t something you see everyday.” Until next week, keep looking for that next wave.
